Wordia Blog

Welcome to the Soft Launch of the new look Wordia.com.
What do you think?
We hope you like what we've built - and our modern interpretation of Dr. Johnson & Boswell, the world famous wordsmith and biographer! (A new literacy champion, and hero side-kick, for the modern classroom).
So what's the story?
We've spent the last eight months listening to your feedback, and building Wordia as a fantastic free classroom resource to engage students with literacy and subject vocabulary (using the familiar medium of video + learning games).
It's early days (day Zero, you could say…), but we're really excited about some of the plans we have, the momentum we already generated - and how we're building our learning games, with you, the educator and student. (To the class vocabulary you need to teach on a hourly / daily basis).
We want you to send us your subject vocabulary lists (which we run through our game engine) - creating a state of the art learning game that features your subject words, as well as your school crest and school name. Fantastic motivation for students and educators, alike.
Play our first competition winner, Millfields Community Primary School - and tell us what you think: Click here to play their Women in History game
If you have any questions, suggestions (or if you find a bug!), please let us know on: info@wordia.com
